Please ask your students questions about their writing weekly, check out his/her writing journal and be sure they are on track!
- Math- Unit 5: We will be reviewing using LCM (least common multiple) to create equivalent fractions and GCF (greatest common factor) to simplify/reduce fractions (also finding equivalent fractions). Adding and subtracting fractions has many complex steps, so we will continue to review this week as well. To encourage number sense at home, share when you are using fractions (baking, eating a pie, cutting a sandwich, driving to school…fractions are everywhere and a part of our daily life.) Many students have been struggling to identify fractions as equal parts. Students can review these basic fraction skills on ixl fourth grade standards.
